Welcome to Moulder Services, Inc. Tech Talk. Thank you for your interest in this new forum. We look forward to assisting you in your machine specific issues and needs.
Why the need for yet another forum? And how is this forum different than others?
The goal of this forum is to allow moulder and grinder operators, maintenance personal and mill management to discuss general and specific areas of concern. Over the years, there has been much written, both in magazines and in newsletter, that is now being made available to users of moulders and grinders. Some of the articles deal with specific tooling issues such as axial constant and tooling advances, while others deal with aligning moulder fences and moulder feed systems. Over the next few months, these articles will be added to the Tech Talk at no charge to registered members.
Why is registration required?
The purpose of this forum is for educational use only. We ask that all registered members provide the make and model of the machines that are in operation at their facilities. Moulder Services reserves the right to limit access to the forum for users of the equipment only. All registration information may be verified, and access to this forum is not guaranteed. The purpose of this forum is not to sell products, machinery, etc. Any attempt to sell tooling, machinery or other related products to the Solid Woodworking Industry will result in the immediate removal of that specific reference.
How will the forum work?
In order for the forum to be as effective as possible, we request that all posts be as specific as possible. For example, all questions should include the make and model of machine as well as feed rate, number of knives and/or any other additional critical information. This will result in more concise and accurate responses.

New articles will be made available dealing with general and specific issues on an ongoing basis. Article content will be based on popular themes from the posts, as well as suggestions from registered users. The forum will utilize industry experts to attempt to provide the users with accurate, safe and effective information.
The desire is that by sharing knowledge, we can create a more cost effective and profitable industry in the moulding and tooling business. |
